The Perfect Background From a Piece of Paper Towel!

The theme for the November tag swap on Junk Journals and Mindful Mixed Media Art (JJAMMMA) is animals.  I already had one tag made which was suitable for the theme (see HERE), but made the second one especially for the occasion and recipient.  I hope she likes them.
I never throw away my inky paper towels, as they can often provide the perfect background.  I had one in shades of blue and purple that I had used when mopping up my inks from my gift tag topper session (see HERE).  When I turned it on its side,  I could see a background, so took the top layer and added it to a #8 manilla tag, sealing, drying and trimming the edges.
I masked off an area at the top using one of the Clarity moon masks and stamped the stag from the Woodland Animals set by Claritystamp using Deep Lagoon Versafine ink.
Using the larger of the two trees from the Let Heaven & Nature Sing stamp set (also by Claritystamp),  I added four trees at the bottom in Imperial Purple Versafine ink, using a stamp platform.  I laid a piece of copy paper over the stag and used a Spot On Sponge to add ink below so that he wouldn't be standing in mid air.
Next I blended Deep Lagoon Versafine ink around the moon mask using a Clarity stencil brush.
To finish,  I added the sentiment from the same stamp set as the tree in Imperial Purple Versafine ink.
It is definitely worth hoarding all those inky paper towels!  The second tag that I am sending for the swap started off in the same way.
