The mini mission this month over on Mission Inspiration is Romance. As usual I created a page for my tag journal on a #8 manilla tag.
I started by dragging a thick layer of DecoArt modelling paste through the All You Need Is Love stencil by Claritystamp onto a #8 manilla tag. The whole image doesn't fit on the tag, but by angling the heart, the key part of the message can be seen. This was allowed to dry overnight.
The next day I used three DecoArt media sprays to add colour, drying thoroughly between layers. First a matte red...
Then a shimmery yellow...
A matte orange...
Finally a little more of the shimmery yellow.
The stencil was replaced and the raised image gone over with Pebeo Gilding Wax in Antique Gold.
To emphasize the sentiment, I outlined each letter using a fine, black Posca pen.
Three sentiments from the Small Talk Occasions sticker book (Tim holtz idea-ology) were added. I chose the white on black versions to tie in with the pen outline.
Finally, each sentiment block was outlined in a fine, gold Posca pen.
