An Unexpected Background

I made this tag for the June prompt over on Country View Challenges: The Written Word (Add text in some form).  As you will see the background was an unexpected bonus from another project.
I picked up a paper towel mop up sheet that had been created when rolling paper towel over a sprayed background on another project (see HERE).  When I split off the top layer and laid it over a #8 manilla tag to use as a background for my latest project, I realised that the imprint of the textured image from the previous project had been left on the paper towel (Claritystamp Poppies stencil) creating a ghost print background.  Once glued and sealed on the tag using matte gel medium, the paper towel was dried and trimmed.
I didn't want to cover over much of the clear flower head, so stamped the birdhouse from the Birdhouse Garden stamp set by Claritystamp along the bottom using Acorn Archival ink.  I used a stamp platform to ensure an intense image.
I added the two swallows and the foliage from the same stamp set in the same manner.
It only remained to add text, which I did using several of the Small Talk stickers (Tim Holtz idea-ology).
I love the way that the flower head could also be taken to be the sun in the distance; a happy and unintended consequence.
