A Bird does not sing: Journal Page

This page was made in response to the June Challenge on Mixed Media Art Journey.  There are 6 prompts each month.  These month's prompts in no particular order are: Make a page, add red, add texture, use scrap paper, add doodles and favourite quote.
I cut down a piece of A4 mixed media card to 7" x 10" to fit my journal and make a page.  I had a piece of scrap copy paper which had been used as a mop up / brayer clean up sheet on a previous project and added it to the card with Mod Podge, sealing, drying and trimming.
Further pieces of scrap paper from an old Beethoven music score were added in places in the same manner.
Texture was added by dragging matte black Dreamweaver embossing paste through sections of the mini sheet music stencil by TCW.
Further red was added in the form of a Robin, using NDC #86 by Claritystamp which can be bought on back order.  It was stamped directly onto the page in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed in clear EP.  This was repeated on a piece of scrap card, the robin coloured using Kuretake Clean Colour pens, then the body was fussy cut and added to the page.
Doodling, in the form of music notes, was added using the black Sakura Everyday Micron pen.
One of my favourite quotes was then printed out using my Dymo Letratag, with the words 'bird' and 'song' being stamped and heat embossed using the Claritystamp Word Chain Alphabet.
I chose to add an additional doodled treble clef in the bottom left hand corner.  I also had to replace the second printed part of the quote, as I melted it by going too close with the heat gun.  The white background balances out the white strip down the right hand side of the page, so I didn't mind too much: OOPS.
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer.  It sings because it has a song."
