Locks and Keys: A Tag

The current challenge over on Tag Tuesday is Locks and Keys.  I found a quote that I liked, "Smile, it is the key that fits the lock of everybody's heart." by Anthony J. D'Angelo and based my tag round that.
I started with one of my favourite techniques: adding a paper towel mop up/stamp clean up sheet to a #8 manilla tag (Journaling stamps from Claritystamp).
Next, I stamped and heat embossed the word 'Smile' using the Claritystamp Word Chain Alphabet in Versamark ink and Metallic Red EP.  The letters were outlined using a dark brown Stadtler Triplus fine liner pen.
I printed out the rest of the quote, except the words key, lock and heart, using my Dymo Letratag, then trimmed and added them to the tag.
The grunge board key, from a set picked up at a craft fair, had been painted in black gesso.  I went over the top with Renaissance Gold Pebeo gilding wax followed by some of the Nubian Metallic Rub from set #2.
The grunge board lock was prepared in the same way as the key and added to the tag.
The grunge board heart was heat embossed using the same metallic red EP as used for the word 'smile'.  After several layers some bubbling occurred and the red turned a little pink in areas, but I liked the effect and decided to add it to the tag anyway.
As a finishing touch, I went round the heart and the quote panels using the same dark brown fine liner as before.
