Colourful All Round!

This card was made following inspiration seen on Angela Radford's blog 'Felix the Crafty Cat' (see HERE).  She had decorated both the front and back of a card to create a continuous background.  I decided to colour my card with Distress Oxides as well as stamping on it to add a pattern.
I started with a 5" x 7" card blank and blended Candied Apple and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxides all over it.  Next I added Wild Honey over much of the card and especially where the colours joined to give the background more of a blended look.  A light spritz of water was followed by being thoroughly dried with a heat gun.
The Tropical stamp from the Cocktails Blueprint (designed by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous) was stamped onto the front of the card in Versamark ink and heat embossed in detail black EP.
I did the same again onto a separate piece of white card, then coloured the image using my Royal Talens Ecoline pens and a water brush.
The Journaling Stamps from Claritystamp were added to the base card in Archival ink (Monarch Orange, Vermilian and Tangelo Orange), across the fold, to give one continuous pattern from the front to the back of the card.
The coloured image was fussy cut and added to the card, using foam pads to create dimension.

Finally,  the Just for You die from the Everyday Sentiments 1 set by Tonic Studio was used to die cut a sentiment from black card.  The hearts were coloured with an embossing pen and metallic red EP used to add further colour.  The sentiment was added with acrylic glue to the front of the card.
