4 x ATCs = 1 Journal Page

The current prompt over on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More is 'Trade It'.  For the third week of May ATCs were the order of the day.  I have made a few, but this time turned four of them into an art journal page as I intend to create one each week for this group.
I started by creating my ATCs (2.5" x 3.5").  I chose four of the Hipster stamps (designed by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous) and stamped them directly onto the ATCs using Jet Black Archival ink.  They were then coloured using my Royal Talens Ecoline pens and a water brush.

Two further copies of each image were stamped onto separate card in the same way, the upper layers die cut using the coordinating Sizzix dies, then coloured to match.  The glasses were double heat embossed using a black embossing pen and clear EP.  Everything was then matted and layered onto the ATCs.

I then started work on the background.  Working on mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm), I added some dollops of Pebeo Deco Creme paints in Matt Fir Green and Matt Bright Green as well as a small amount of Reeves Light Green acrylic paint.  The colours were spread over the page using an old store card until I was happy with the result and the excess onto a piece of copy paper to create a further background for future use.
The sprig stamp from the Gone Fishing set by Claritystamp was then used to add interest in Olive, Library Green and Viridian Archival inks.
Before I added the ATCs to the page, I gave each of the backgrounds a colour wash.
Next came a couple of the Quote Chips (Tim Holtz idea-ology).
Finally, I added three of the stickers from the Small Talk booklet (Tim Holtz idea-ology).
