We all make mistakes: Choose to see the good stuff!

This tag was made for the January challenge over on That's Crafty.  The prompt is 'Feeling Blue' and I decided to go with the theme both literally (in colour) and figuratively (with the sentiments).  I made a mess of the face thanks to some errant clear embossing powder, but chose to embrace the mistake and use it as part of the message and meaning of the tag.  I'm also entering it in the 'Anything Goes' challenge on Tag Tuesday.
The first layer is the top layer of a paper towel mop up sheet added to a #8 manilla tag.  It was sealed with Distress Collage Medium, dried and trimmed.
A Phthalo Blue oil pastel (Van Gogh) was blended around the outside of the tag.
On a separate piece of white stamping card, I stamped one of the large stamps from the Hats 2 set (Claritystamp) in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed it in detail clear powder.  I should have used an antistatic pad first as I later discovered that some powder had stuck to unintended areas.  I coloured the image using Kuretake Clean Colour pens in Light Blue, Blue and a touch of Deep Violet and the face in Flesh with some Pink.  This was then fussy cut.
I messed about with the face, trying to cover up the white area with Pitt artist pens, but was unsuccessful.  However, I really liked the rest of the colouring so I added it to the tag anyway and trimmed the excess.
Two suitable sentiments from the Small Talk sticker book by Tim Holtz completed the tag.  I 'choose to see the good stuff' about this piece.
