A Canvas: Choose; Hope; Love

For my final DT piece for Royal Talens I decided to work on a larger scale and chose a 10" x 12" canvas board as a substrate.

I gave the board a coat of Amsterdam black gesso.
Next, I dragged Amsterdam modeling paste through the large Dotty Wave stencil (Claritystamp) in several areas and set the board aside to air dry for a couple of hours.
Once dry, another coat of black gesso was added.
I then used grunge board letters (Tim Holtz idea-ology Swirls/Alphas) as well as die cut grunge paper (Sprightly Sprockets) to create the words 'Choose', 'Hope' and 'Love'.  These were glued into place using Cosmic Shimmer acrylic glue.
Once again, black gesso was used to cover the letters.
The next step was to dry brush Amsterdam gold acrylic paint over the canvas.
Finally the letters of each word and the edges of the canvas were highlighted using van Gogh oil pastels in shades of blue, pink and purple blended out using my fingers.
