Art Journal Prompts 42: Leaves

Having left it until the last minute to work with last week's art journal prompt, I thought I'd get straight down to week 42: Leaves.  I decided to use a stencil and stamp from Claritystamp which came in the July 2017 New Design Stamp Club and Stencil Club packs.
Once again I worked with Dylusions paints on mixed media card cut to 18.5cm x 19.5cm.  I started by blending Chopped Pesto along the bottom, Mushy Peas (one of the latest release) across the middle and Dirty Martini across the top of the page.
I then laid the Claritystamp NDC stencil #38 across the centre of the page and dabbed Periwinkle Blue through it, adding a little After Midnight across the top part and blending the two colours together.  As the card is a little wider than the stencil, I took the image out to each side using a blending tool once the stencil had been removed.
Once dry, I added some further Chopped Pesto at the bottom using a natural sponge to provide texture, dried the paint, then stamped one of the Wee Grasses from Claritystamp over the bottom using first Olive, then Library Green Archival ink.  At the top I stamped the leafy branch from the Birdhouse Garden stamp set (also from Claritystamp) multiple times using Fern Green, then a little Olive Archival ink.
I then carefully painted in all the branches and the trunks of the trees using a detail brush and Melted Chocolate Dylusions paint.  I deliberately left the family the colour of leaves.
The NDC stamp #129 from Claritystamp was used with the Fern Green Archival ink on an off cut of mixed media card, trimmed all round and leaves from the leafy branch added in each of the top corners.  This was glued below the family.  A little Library Green ink was then rubbed all round the edges of the page.
