Well, only one week to a massive milestone for Julia as host of WOYWW over on The Stamping Ground. A big milestone came to me this week, when I created my first art journal page without the aid of step by step prompts, merely one word: Portal. You can see the step by step for this HERE, but I wanted to share my desk at the start of the process. I was considering using the glasses stamp from Claritystamp or the Gilded Gate Two die from Spellbinders. As you will see, I completely changed my mind on both counts.
As usual, this is a photo of my desk on a Tuesday, as once again the Wednesday desk is set up for marking and lesson preparation. I haven't been very well over the last couple of weeks as the cold weather has been playing havoc with my asthma, but having seen the GP twice this week and on a high 7 day course of steroids, I seem to be getting through it. My Tuesday craft sessions with a friend are my lifeline so once again I am sharing her side of the desk too. She was working on the background for a set of party invitations for her niece and husband's joint birthday celebration. Messy crafting as usual, but it's what we enjoy most.Here's the finished Portal art journal page for Journal52.
