Sparkling Spirelli

I knew as soon as I saw this mask that it would create a simple but stunning effect.  Happy birthday to a crafty friend!

I worked directly onto a 17cm x 17cm white card.  The mask fitted exactly over the card, but I taped it down all round with low tack masking tape to hold it firmly in place.  I used two colours of the sparkle texture paste from the Phill Martin Chic Viola and Decadent Grape Colour Collections.  I added a little of the Chic Viola in the top left and Decadent Grape below and above.  I spread each colour separately, and at the end dragged the darker colour towards the centre to fill in some gaps.  I didn't want to use my heat gun on it, so I let it dry naturally once I had removed and cleaned the mask.
I stamped the sentiment (a free stamp by Lili of the Valley which came with a magazine) onto white card using a Versamark ink pad and added Decadent Grape embossing Powder which comes out a lighter shade than the texture paste, but which tones in beautifully with the Chic Viola.  Once heat embossed, I die cut the sentiment and added it onto a larger mat cut using a scalloped circle die also by Tonic Studios.  To finish, I added 'pearls' using the coordinating pearlescent PVA glue in Decadent Grape.
