Button Topper

This is another card which was inspired by a design in the first Creative Expressions Project Book.  It's another card suitable for both men or women depending on the colour scheme and toppers used.

The base card is a 20cm x 20cm card blank, pierced all the way round 0.5cm in from each edge using a piercing ruler, pokey tool and piercing mat.  A piece of white card 18.5cm x 18.5cm was stamped all over using black Archival ink and the Newsprint Background by Sam Poole and Creative Expressions; matted onto a piece of 19cm x 19cm burgundy card and added to the card once 3 large, black brads had been put through the top right hand corner.
An 18.5cm x 4.5cm piece of stripy paper was matted onto the same burgundy card, so that the plain colour only showed along the left hand side; black and white bakers twine was wrapped around twice and tied into a bow at the bottom and the whole piece added to the card front.
The Bubbles background stamp (again by Sam Poole and Creative Expressions) was stamped onto a piece of white card 9cm x 13.5cm; blended over with Victorian Velvet distress ink; matted onto burgundy card leaving a narrow border and added to the centre of the card.  Two of the Frilly Frame #5 were die cut from white card; the larger one gone over with Victorian Velvet distress ink while still in the die to leave a white border.  The smaller of the die cuts was stamped with a stamp which came as a free gift with a magazine and small buttons which match the colour scheme added as I didn't have any Card Candi.  This was matted up and added using foam pads for dimension.  Finally, a silver peel off sentiment was coloured with a black Sharpie and added to the bubble panel.
