Box it up - Rainbow Wedding Card

Of course, having spent all that time and effort making the rainbow wedding card, I then had to make a box for it; it certainly wouldn't fit into an envelope!

I kept the bottom of the box completely plain, only decorating the top.  Just like the front and back of the card I stuck to gold and ivory as my colour palette.  I cut a 5" x 5" piece of gold pearl card and used the Martha Stewart Sweet Hearts punch around the page set as a mat for the congratulations stamped image; I wanted to tie this in with the back of the card itself.  The stamp by Creative Expressions was stamped in Versamark ink onto ivory pearl card and heat embossed using gold detail embossing powder.  The image was then trimmed and the corners rounded to fit the mat.  The Tinys Love Birds by Marianne were cut and embossed from the same gold pearl card as used for the mat.
The box was made from two pieces of A3 ivory pearl card; trimmed to 10" x 10".  I used the base side and the lid side of the Eazi-Box Board to score 1" sides all round; cut, folded and stuck the corners, using wet glue and clothes pins to hold the corners in place until dry.  The top fitted perfectly onto the bottom as the Eazi Box Board makes allowances for the difference needed without having to stop and work things out.  I was really pleased with the finished result - the happy couple were too.
