One Week Wedding Card - Colours of the Rainbow

This card was made for my niece and her husband on the occasion of their wedding last year.  The colour scheme was the rainbow so I made a card to reflect each of the colours and a wedding/romantic theme.  It was such a big card, that I have decided to showcase it over the next week!

A better view of the spine!

The card itself was made of four 20cm x 20cm card blanks, made from A3 double sided ivory Centura Pearl card.  Once all the pages were complete, I used gold elasticated thread to wrap and knot around each separate card and then tied the whole thing together with pieces of ribbon in the seven colours of the rainbow, along the spine of the card.  The front and back of the card were decorated using gold pearl card and more of the ivory.  On the front, I used the smaller of the Blossom Brackets Corner dies by Tonic Studios in each of the corners.  The central topper was cut from gold, using the inner heart from the Tonic Studios Heart Vines base set and matted onto ivory pearl.  The Mr & Mrs inner was also cut from gold; matted onto ivory and added using foam pads for dimension.  The finishing touch was provided by the Wedding Ring die by Marianne; again using gold pearl card.
For the back of the card, I cut a piece of gold card 6.75" x 6.75" and used the Sweet Heart punch around the page set by Martha Stewart.  The Corinthians verse from Claritystamp was heat embossed using gold detail embossing powder, onto a piece of ivory pearlescent paper; trimmed to fit inside the heart mat and the corners rounded.  You can see some of the ribbons which hold the spine of the card together, along with the gold elasticated thread.
