A little Zentangle is good for the soul

I was inspired by the book Zentangle 9 - Color with Mixed Media and my new Typewriter and Handmade Paper embossing folder sets from Tattered Lace.  I already had the Marianne typewriter die and stamps.

This is an 8x8 card - I used Tim Holtz's Typo stencil and Aged Mahogany distress ink to stencil the main card and Exotic Orchid and Sunrise Orchid Core'dination cardstock for the backgrounds and die cutting.

The large background is 18.5cm by 18.5cm and embossed with the Typewriter embossing folder.  I then sanded it back and added Aged Mahogany at the edge.
The 4 smaller squares are 7.5cm x 7.5cm and embossed using the Handmade Paper embossing folder.  This time I distressed the edge as well as sanding back and using the distress ink.

The zentangled squares are stamped onto 6.5cm x 6.5cm supersmooth cardstock.  I used an old wooden back docrafts stamp and my trusty Marvy La Plume brush pens (No. 9 pink; No. 20 magenta; No. 63 wine and no. 64 plum).  I repeated the same 4 zentangle patterns, although you will notice if you look closely that the pattern on the bright pink background changed after my first attempt.
I used the same core'dinations cardstock to die cut the typewriter and stamped a suitable message.  For the final touch I added some more distress ink round the edge of the typewritten 'message'.

Hope you like the finished card.
